Who we are
AlongKeep is made by PrimeRole, Inc., 2261 Market St, San Francisco, California 94114-1612, United States. “We” and “AlongKeep” below mean PrimeRole, Inc.
What AlongKeep is, and is not
AlongKeep helps you keep track of the things in your homes and offices and their paperwork: bills, warranties, insurance policies, AMCs and the dates they set.
Where AlongKeep shows a brand’s warranty terms, they are the terms the brand publishes on its own pages, as we last read them, with a link to the page. Brands change their terms, and the brand’s own terms and its decision on a claim are what count. AlongKeep never says that a claim will be accepted, or that a service centre will accept one.
A date AlongKeep works out, such as when a warranty ends, comes from the dates you enter and the terms it matched. If a date you entered is wrong, or the match is wrong, the result is wrong too, so the app shows which record it matched for you to check. Where a brand does not make its terms clear, the app shows the months and says so instead of giving a date. Covers marked “From your card” are what you typed, and we have not checked them.
AlongKeep is not an insurer, a broker or an insurance intermediary, and sells no insurance, extended warranty or protection plan. It reads the policies you already hold. Nothing in AlongKeep is legal advice.
AlongKeep is not affiliated with any brand, retailer or insurer. Brand names belong to their owners.
Reminders
Reminders are an aid to memory, not a guarantee. A notification or message can be delayed or missed for reasons outside our control, such as phone settings, battery saving or a lost connection. Where missing a date would cost you, such as a registration deadline or an insurance renewal, check it with the brand or the insurer as well.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to hold an account.
- Your account is tied to your phone number. Keep that phone secure; what happens under your account is your responsibility.
- Keep the information you enter accurate and up to date.
Places and people
When you add a person to People, you need their permission to enter their name and phone number, and to have us send them messages such as invitations and reminders. A place’s admins choose who is in it and in what role. What you add to a shared place can be seen by the people in it, as their roles allow, and stays with the place if you leave it.
Your information
What you enter and upload is yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it, and to pass it to the companies that help us, in order to run AlongKeep, as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to upload the documents you add.
Price
AlongKeep is free at the moment. If we add paid features, the app shows the price before you pay, and purchases go through the App Store or Google Play under their terms.
Using AlongKeep
You may use AlongKeep for your own homes and offices. You may not use it to harm anyone, enter content that is unlawful, try to get into other people’s accounts or our systems, overload it, or take it apart to build something else from it.
You may quote the warranty pages on this website, with a link to the page you quote. You may not copy AlongKeep’s warranty data in bulk, by scraping or any other means, to build or feed another product.
Early software
AlongKeep is early software and it is changing. Features may change or be removed, the service may be interrupted, and we may require you to update the app to keep using it. We will do our best to warn you before anything that affects your records.
Our content
The app, the website, their design and words, and AlongKeep’s record of warranty terms belong to us. The wording we quote from a brand’s page belongs to the brand. You may use the app on your phone for your own use, and nothing more is granted.
Ending
You can stop using AlongKeep at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where we can give it, and we may stop offering AlongKeep.
What we do not promise
We do our best to keep AlongKeep accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. We do not promise that it is free of errors or always available, and we are not responsible for decisions about a purchase, a repair, a claim or a renewal made from what it shows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to US$100 or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away a protection you have as a consumer where you live.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and if a change matters to you, we say so in the app before it applies. Using AlongKeep after that means you accept the change.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and disputes are heard in the courts of San Francisco, California, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
